History of Our Online Business

Our founder, Lisa Martin, graduated with an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University in August 2016. She decided to follow the path laid out by her school to become a “world changer.” Her school challenges students to “pour out the salt” and “shine light” wherever their lives take them. Lisa considers her faith in Jesus Christ as her “salt,” while she strives to help bring enlightenment to others through the words she speaks.

When Lisa took a 35-day trip to India, she was fortunate to meet many interesting and friendly people. During that time, she saw the beautiful artwork and exquisite craftsmanship of the scarves made by the locals. As a result, she felt motivated to bring these items to people who want a piece of art that displays their inner light or personality. Thus, the concept of Global Ridge began in 2016 and came to fruition on April 1, 2018.

Lisa has experience in the retail and management fields as well as in shipping logistics with a global company. In addition, she has worked with nonprofit organizations. Lisa possesses the following characteristics:
